Off we go again...

We made an early start from Newbury (after discovering a few tents over the hedge!)

I think this boat was entering in  for the boat in bloom competition...

It took us a long time to get anywhere because of the leaky locks...it didn't help that a hire boat had got stuck in a lock and Greg had to go and find some wood to stop the water pouring in so we could get the gates open for them to come out..I think they went up and down 3 times.
The horse pulls a sight seeing boat from Kintbury

The vicarage at Vicarage bridge.

I'm having a lazy day while Greg does the locks.

It's such a shame that these thatched cottages are right next to the railway.

Another Freedom.....
The church is at Great Bedwyn-it was built around 12th/13th century. There is also a stone masons museum here which shows the work of 7 generations of stone masons....There are statues, tombstones and even the fossilised footprint of a dinosaur.

The pumping house at Crofton houses two 19th century steam engines .

Bruce tunnel was so lovely and cool...I wanted to stay in there all day.

This cottage reminded me of a face.
Happy days.
