In the films

We set off at 9 from the Island and carried on chugging down towards Windsor. On the way we went past Clivedon house which is a very posh 17th century mansion where all the politicians used to go. It was also where Christine Keeler met John Profumo......and the start of the Profumo affair began.

Greg thinks I could have a sculpture like this in the garden.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

I loved this balcony..it had lovely big sofas with quilts on..you could sit up here and watch the world go by.

This poor man was chained to the floor...Apparently he cost £6000 to buy.

 

 

Some boats are enormous....

 

We went past Brays Film Studios. Its such a shame that it has just been left to fall apart...the current owner wants it to be knocked down and redeveloped, but there is a group trying to save it . All the Hammer films were filmed here as well as the Rocky horror show and The Alien.

All these deckchairs and no-one sitting in them-I wonder why ?

Could it be because it feels like autumn at the moment?

 

 

 

On past Windsor race course...

 
 

 

We moored up for the night just outside Windsor Castle. There were lots of other boats moored up and Windsor was really busy probably because the Royal Windsor Horse show was on. We walked up to the castle and had a quick look around outside
