I woke up to this today....
Greg was feeding the swans bread...needless to say Scully was not happy when the swan tried to get on the boat.. She thought it was going to raid the kitchen I think.
We saw these 2 black swans last year at Reading, it looks like they've moved up to Windsor now.
What a treat I had this morning...horses everywhere. The ponies were trotting around, the pairs in the international driving were cantering past......I was in heaven!
Prince Charles' cows stood watching the boats go by.
Different houses....
This paddle steamer came speeding past us when we were going by Runnymede.
Most of the lock keepers are really friendly and can't do enough to help....this one at Bell Weir lock obviously was not a happy man as he wouldn't speak or even acknowledge you.
I finally got a picture of a parakeet. There's lots of them flying around making a lot of noise near Shepperton but they are so quick that its really hard to get a picture of them.
There are some amazing houseboats along the river
This boat has a swing at each end....I think I could live here!
We finally moored up at Sunbury on Thames. There is a lovely little back water just behind the lock. Luckily there was plenty of space for mooring today as Pete needs to get a bit of rest as we will be travelling down the tidal part of the Thames from Teddington Lock to Brent tomorrow and he is feeling a bit nervous about the 'big waves'- I'm going to enjoy this one!!!!!!!
Happy days.
