A hero.....

I've just got to put this little bit in.....Hero of the day. As we were chugging along we came across 2 men in a small paddle steamer trying to get near the bank of a field of sheep. As we got closer we could hear a lamb bleating loudly , it had got stuck down near the edge of the river and they were trying to rescue it.

They managed to get it inside their boat and told us it was the second one they'd had to rescue. They took it down river and managed to put it in the field with its mum...Talk about a lucky escape.
I thought this duck was plastic...until it moved its head round!
We slowed down to watch this house having a new thatch put on.

Just a few of the fantastic houses along the river bank. We even went past Theresa May's home at Sonning....sadly I didn't get a picture although you may see my face on the evening news as I was standing on a block of wood trying to look over the fence to see what her garden was like.

I think this is one of Greg's favourite house's on the Thames. Last year when we came down they were just digging a cave out of the cliffs behind the house....he thinks it would make a fantastic man cave(although I think he'd like to store his beer down there really)

House next door........

Stalked by a duck....
Henley on Thames.

My sort of café.

Everything was ready to go at Henley for the races.....We set off down the middle hoping we were going the right way....

On the Island at the end.....

Sitting reading his book quietly....
We finally moored for the night on a small Island. We could see a little cottage tucked away on the other bank.

Happy days.
