The grass is always greener on the other side!
As we neared Ellesmere we passed several lakes or meres ,which we found out had been formed at the end of the ice age. I was so busy photographing the lakes that I missed the Kingfisher-again.
We headed into Ellesmere which was lovely and had some lunch and then carried on heading towards Frankton junction and the Montgomery Canal.
As we carried on the sky was getting blacker and blacker and the hills in the distance started to disappear. An early finish today (and an early start tomorrow) with a fantastic view over the hills. Time to get that fire lit!
Happy days!
