It was a bit grey overhead as we left Lechlade and soon started to drizzle with rain.
The old Faringdon Waterworks Building has now been bought by the owner of a local marina.
We were just chugging along slowly when Jess radioed through to say he'd seen some hares in a field. Greg went round slowly 3 times so that I could get some pictures...
Even the duck was watching us go round....and round ....and round!!

The sun was just starting to break through the clouds in the evening...Finally
These planes were so low that I thought they were going to land in the field next to us. One of the pilots gave us a little 'wiggle ' as he went over our heads.

We had been sitting outside for over an hour looking for the barn owl when Pete suddenly spotted a buzzard.
The next day there was a great plume of smoke in the distance..We found out later on the news that a scrap yard had caught fire at Witney.
When we moored up that night I spotted some deer in the field opposite.
Looks like the circus is arriving.

Molly wondered what this was hiding in the bushes.
This poor man had to take the roof off his boat to get under a low bridge..he wasn't very impressed.
I guess this was left over from when it all flooded over earlier this year.
Oxford.
Thre boat houses were very quiet on Thursday.
It's hard work sitting around in the sunshine while every one else is having a drink.
This morning at Abingdon we were lucky enough to see a green woodpecker looking for his breakfast.
Time to say bye to Pete and Jess who are heading back towards Dukes Cut and then up the Oxford canal.
Time to recharge the batteries quick!!
