Just past Brinklow is this old building which used to be called The Boat pub.
We arrived at Newbold Tunnel which has coloured lights all the way through and is supposed to look lovely...but we've never seen them working which is a real shame- maybe next time.
These buildings make me smile every time we go past...there's always something new to look at....
We made Braunston early afternoon and turned on to the Oxford canal. Somebody was looking happy....
Even though it was a lovely sunny day, the wind was still really cold.
Greg's beady eyes soon found something interesting in the field...
Imagine looking after this little lot....
After filling up with fuel with Jules fuels we carried on towards Napton .The view from the windmill must be amazing.
Here's one for you Ben........
We decided to start up Napton locks, which are narrow and very fast. (I decided it would probably be safer if I did the paddles and Greg put the boat in especially when I saw how fast the boat shot forward)
After the 6th lock there are some Buffalo in the field. Last year there were lots of calves...I think we re too early this time. The shop near the bottom lock sells buffalo burgers....which I must say are rather tasty.
Oh well ...cheese and crackers tonight I think.
Happy days.
