Heading back

We had a relaxing couple of days at the Llangollen Basin which was really lovely and quiet (and because we had free electricity I managed to charge the laptop, hoover AND blow dry and straighten my hair!!)
We started our walk to Horseshoe Falls early on Friday as the weather wasn't  looking to bright...It seemed like everyone had the same idea...The chain bridge looked a bit shaky..
Greg decided to do a bit of climbing to catch the water running down the rocks..

We finally arrived at Horseshoe Falls which was lovely. Greg was determined to get some pictures of a tree hopper!

We walked up as far as the old church and the started to head back.

On the way back we decided to take a trip on the old steam train which runs from Llangollen to Corwyn through some beautiful countryside. I couldn't believe how soft and comfy the old seats were-wish they were still like that. We had a fantastic hour and half with our noses stuck out the windows (getting covered in smoke soots!)

Someone was feeling a little tired when we got  back and decided to make herself comfortable while we walked back into Llangollen for meal and drink.

Saturday morning and it was time to leave -back over those aquaducts!

 Happy days!
