Off to Lechlade

Another wet day....we set off at 9 and made our way to Pigeon lock where I found out that dinosaur and crocodile bones  had been found near Kirtlington Quarry when it was excavated many years ago.

While I was busy doing the lock...Greg was taking photos.

Bakers Lock-we were able to check the water level.. the lights flash to tell you if its safe to proceed.

What's this ?

This little fella nearly got lost.

There's a story that goes with this pontoon.....apparently someone was attacked by a deck chair and nearly ended up head first in the Thames....

26 miles to Lechlade...

We found a lovely spot to moor- Scully was more than happy to have a meadow to herself.

Time to get some sleep.

Until the noisy planes are overhead....

Happy days.
