Yesterdays blog...

We set off really early this morning....only to spend 30 minutes in the lock trying to take a picture of a kingfisher...and waiting for the heron to come back to his nest.

Even Scully wondered what was going on....we carried on heading towards Stone and managed to fill up with water and visit the canal shop (oh yes !!!!) The sunshine was beautiful although it was still cold.

This cheeky little chap was sat right next to the lock.

We past the new Wedgwood factory....

Greg deciding to have a little 'nap' on the lock gate...its a good job I didn't bump into it-otherwise he'd have gone in with a right splash!

We've seen this pottery on the t.v recently, I think it was my bad luck that it closed early today.
We finally moored up for the night at Westport Nature Reserve which was beautiful as it was going to be an early start through Harecastle Tunnel in the morning.
                                                       Happy days.
